In residential homes, poor workmanship, improper installation, or aging components may result in much higher energy consumption or pricey repairs. The truth is many of these problems may not be visible with the naked eye and are therefore not documented during a standard home inspection. In many cases, by using thermographic imaging our company is able to identify the following:
- Missing or damaged insulation
- Moisture intrusion or condensation
- Potential mold
- Electrical service problems
- Heat loss
Infrared thermal imaging enables our company to visually see and measure heat. Every material on earth emits a certain level of heat energy, in the infrared portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. Using advanced technology we are able to scan a home thermally which can reveal anomalies that in turn identify problems in a home’s envelope, insulation, roof, electrical equipment, and mechanical equipment.
